In total the lands amount to a toral of 383.46 Ha (947.55 acres) to which the property enjoys a 1/7th undivided share which equates to c. 54.78 Ha (135.36 acres).

Derry Clare 'Binn Doire Chláir' in Irish, meaning 'Peak of Derry Clare' standing at a height of 677m is a part of the Twelve Bens Connemara National Park mountain range.
The Twelve Bens (Na Beanna Beola in Irish) are a well-known group of mountains scattered throughout the centre and north of Connemara.

Derry Clare is one of the most southerly of the Bens and sits at the eastern side of the entrance to the large U-shaped valley of the Glencoaghan River. To the south of Derry Clare is the scenic lake of Derry Clare Lough, and to the east is the large Inagh Valley, and Lough Inagh.
